Joel Brown is a self-proclaimed "wealth of weird and worthless information" and is please to have been able to make a career from it. After a 6-year career in corporate America as an art director and graphic designer, Joel has dove into the deep end of event production, design and coordination at West Virginia University.

Utilizing his love of events, design, functionality, and the culinary world, Joel is able to create boutique style events that are purpose driven and leave a lasting memory while maintaining the University’s integrity as a land-grant institution. The events that Joel successfully creates help the University achieve its goals for its strategic plan, which strengthens the institution and community. In his free time Joel enjoys all forms of culinary geekery and is 50% of the cook along blog "french fridays with dorie"
