Jonathan Chovancek is Chef de Cuisine and his responsibilities include creating, developing, and refining new and existing menu items with Executive Chef Margaret Chisholm.
As exclusive caterer for BC Canada Place at the 2006 Winter Games in Torino and the BC Canada Pavilion at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, Jonathan spearheaded Culinary Capers’ Olympic kitchens earning rave reviews from a discriminating international clientele. During the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, he was instrumental in the planning and successful execution of our high profile Olympic events including NBC, NIKE, Coca-Cola, Royal Bank of Canada and Shaw Communications.
Chef Jonathan’s experience in award-winning restaurants, such as the Aerie Resort and Sooke Harbour House, helped prepare him for the challenges of working in a creative and fast-paced catering environment. His energizing personality and exciting culinary imagination has made him a regular fixture on local and national television programs and a popular speaker at industry events and conferences throughout North America.
