What do you believe is the greatest innovation to affect the events industry in the past year?
YouTube – although launched five years ago, the entertainment business has now, more than ever, relied on this platform to assist in promoting new talent.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find the most inspiration when I travel (both internationally and within the USA). Venturing outside my daily surroundings creates opportunities to experience new cultures, customs and people. Travelling also gives me time to relax and free my mind. I find that when I can rest and relax my mind relaxes as well and my creativity is heightened.

What excites you most about the year ahead in the events industry or your personal business?
The event industry continues to grow exponentially each year and as it grows so does the interest from other completely different fields of business to partner with us. I am excited to see what unique business partnerships are introduced into the event planning world in 211.

What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
Each of us is like a diamond with the potential to be brilliant. A diamond is transformed from carbon to rough stone to dazzling gemstone by three important components: Heat, Pressure and Change. Just like diamonds, we too undergo a dramatic transformation. No matter where you are in your career or on your life path, you have the potential to transform yourself into a brilliant diamond.

Heather Seely has been in the hospitality and entertainment industry for 21 years. She has worked for three casinos over the span of ten years in various roles including entertainment, banquets, food and beverage and hotel sales. She currently produces public and private events as well as concerts. One of her recent events was featured on the Travel Channel, CBS Sunday Morning News, Inside Edition and Miami's Deco Drive.

Prior to the casino business, Heather lived in southern California working in celebrity publicity, motion picture advertising, radio, concert venues and also as an actress. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the South Florida Chapters of MPI and ISES. In her spare time, she is actively involved as a facilitator and participant in personal development seminars and classes that assist others in their quest for self-growth and personal enrichment.
