Karen Bender is a Principal and Consulting Actuary with Oliver Wyman Actuarial Consulting. For the last fifteen years, Karen has been working as a consulting actuary. For the previous twenty years, she worked at several insurance companies, with emphasis on managed care. She has worked on health care reforms throughout the years at both the state and federal level with special emphasis on the individual and small group markets. She has co-authored many papers and studies pertaining to reform issues as well as testified before State and Congressional committees. Karen is on several Academy committees.
