Jeff started his career with The Catering Company in November 2006 as our Senior Event Specialist. Jeff is responsible for selling, designing, and overseeing parties, and ensuring they are spectacular. His career in food began after he graduated from the University of Kansas in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration. He quickly joined PepsiCo/Pizza Hut in the Management Training Program.
After a year with Pizza Hut, Jeff left to pursue a career in law, but got sidetracked by serving and bartending at catered events. One thing led to another, and Jeff was assisting two high-end caterers both on the floor and in the kitchen. He eventually became chef for Judy Auclair. After meeting Lon back in the early 90’s, a business partnership was still 15 years away, but Lon referred Jeff as the executive chef at Sebree (Crestwood) Galleries where Jeff catered events such as DIFFA’s Dining by Design and Governor Carnahan’s Inaugural Luncheon.
Following his term at Sebree Galleries, Jeff joined Arcadian Event Site and Catering where he became general manager and was responsible for growing its off premise catering division by over 500%. Among his proudest accomplishments are being chosen to cater the grand opening of Nordstrom’s in Oak park Mall, as well as being one of two caterers to catering the grand opening of Union Station (The Catering Company was the other. In 2005, Treat America Food Services bought Arcadian’s catering division, and Jeff served as the Director of Sales for Bonterra Catering and events.
