What is the single most important thing attendees discover at your session?
The 4 P’s Passion, Philosophy, Platform and Process

What do you believe is the greatest innovation to affect the events industry in the past year?
The IPad and, for the wedding industry, Two Bright Lights – which, I believe, will quickly move to the events industry as a whole.

Where do you find inspiration?
From those who choose to walk their own path. I have a few favorites: Danielle Laporte, Cindy Novotny, Simon T. Bailey, Seth Godin, Tony Hsieh, Todd Avery Lenahan, Vicente Wolf, Preston Bailey, Gary Vaynerchuk, Jonathan Fields.

What excites you most about the year ahead in the events industry or your personal business?
More than ever there is no place for being just like anyone else. Be iconic or become irrelevant. Also, if you and your creative business are not transparent you will not survive. Integrity is more important than ever. My clients are those that fully embrace these concepts. I couldn’t be more excited.

What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
Know who you are, build the right platform and then be willing to change it all. The market is smarter than you are.

BIO
Sean Low’s firm is focused on providing practical advice to those in the business of being creative. Prior to founding The Business of Being Creative, Sean spent six years as the president of Preston Bailey Design, Inc. representing Preston in his business endeavors around the world.

Sean has a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his business experience ranges from law, investment banking and financial expertise. Through his work with Preston and other creative clients over the last six years – Vicente Wolf, Marcy Blum, Michelle Rago, Tara Guerard, Interieurs, Style Me Pretty and Sylvia Weinstock to name a few – Sean has discovered his own creative passion: thinking about creative businesses, how they run, how to make them run better, helping them know who they are and then be the best at what they do.
